Let’s Put Natchez, Mississippi on the Today Show!

Friends & Neighbors,

Melissa, our wholesale manager brought to my attention an upcoming project between Sorted Food and the Today Show.  They are teaming up to bring the guys from Sorted Food from across the pond to the States to learn & discover about “American” cuisine.

They will be checking in with the Today Show hosts weekly to report what they ate, where they have been and what they have been up too.  The best part is they are looking for suggestions, recommendations and ideas from anyone and everyone.

You can use the hashtag “#LostAndHungry” across all social media to let them know your thoughts!  The more recommendations and suggestions they get, the more likely they will be to visit Natchez!

Here is the article about it: http://www.today.com/food/lostandhungry-sorted-teams-today-find-best-food-america-t14671

You may not know what exactly Sorted Food is all about just yet, you can read about them here: http://sortedfood.com/blog/about

You probably know who and what the Today Show is, if not you can read about it here: http://www.today.com

The best part is while they focus on food, they are also looking for unique characters along the way, which is perfect for Natchez!

So, here is what you need to do:

Make social media posts about what and where in Natchez is the best place for a specific food item, use #LostAndHungry, share other people’s posts and let the guys at Sorted Food know Natchez, Mississippi is a unique place to experience a little slice of America.

Much love from Fat Mama’s and happy hash-tagging!

Live in New Orleans? Take a look at what Thrillist has to say about visiting Fat Mama’s Tamales Restaurant in Natchez, MS

Recently, Thrillist.com published an article,”THE 10 BEST VACATION SPOTS WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE OF NEW ORLEANS” and included in this top 10 list, is:

Natchez, MS and Fat Mama’s Tamales Restaurant for enjoying “southern specialties” like our award-winning Fat Mama’s Tamales, Knock-You-Naked Margaritas, and Fat Mama’s Fire and Ice pickles.

Take a look at an excerpt about Natchez, MS:

Distance from New Orleans: 176 miles North; three-hour drive
Why it made our list: If Antebellum architecture rocks your world, Natchez is the place to get your fix. Right on the banks of the Mississippi River, it was left alone during the Civil War, so there’s history to explore everywhere you look with plantations, tribal grounds, the first college in Mississippi, and historic museums and cemeteries.
